Established in 1935, the Oconee State Park is a state park that you can find in the Blue Ridge Mountain portion of the state of South Carolina. It covers more than one thousand acres worth of land with numerous recreational activities to offer.

Like many public parks in the country, the Oconee State Park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the midst of the Depression Era. A great number of the buildings on the site are built by the CCC.

The Oconee State Park offers camping, fishing, boating, hiking, and picnicking in it. Folks can also rent cabins for recreational purposes or even for meetings if they like. It is also home to the Foothills Trail and the Ocone Passage to the Palmetto Trail.
