Another historic site named the Old Brick Church is the one that you can find in Fairfield County, South Carolina. This structure is also known as the Ebenezer Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church or the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. It was built in 1788 in Jenkinsville and is one of the last 18th century churches in the midlands of South Carolina.
The history of the Old Brick Church goes back to the 1770s when the Presbyterian Scottish and Irish settlers built a log church. It was then replaced by this brick one after more than just one decade. It may be of simple design, but it is actually special, especially since the bricks were handmade by congregation members themselves.
The Old Brick Church was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
