The Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge is a 4053 acre refuge in South Carolina. It was established in 1975 in an area including the former plantation of Major General Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, thus the name. Pinckney was a prominent lawyer and a local politician in the early 1800s, the property was donated after serving for three decades as a game preserve.

The Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge is mostly closed to the public. Consisted of the Big and Little Harry Islands, Buzzard Island, Corn Island, Pinckney Island, and other small hammocks, only the Pinckney Island is open to the public.

The Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge hosts an annual 1 day gun hunt for deer. Their official website regularly announces when the event will be held.
