The South Carolina State Fair is among the top 50 most celebrated fairs in the United States. It was established by the State Agricultural and Mechanical Society of South Carolina for the sole purpose of exhibiting agriculture of the state. For more than 139 years now, the fair features various exhibits including livestock, flowers, baked goods, canned goods, quilt designs, and several forms of artwork. It also showcases commercial displays, as well as educational and historical exhibits which attracts people to Columbia each October.

In a span of 12 days, the South Carolina Fair entertains the public with grandstand concerts, dances, comedies, etc. The people who visit the fair can also enjoy exciting rides provided by the North American Midway Entertainment.
