Established in 1935, the Table Rock State Park is a 3083-acre park located in Pickens County, South Carolina. It is situated on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains and features the Pinnacle Mountain, which is the tallest mountain that is totally located within the state of South Carolina.
Aside from Mount Pinnacle, the Table Rock State Park also features a lodge that was restored by the CCC or the Civilian Conservation Corps. Hiking is the most popular activity on site, as it is filled with tons of hiking trails, some even lead to the Pinnacle Mountain and Table Rock summits, as well as the Mill Creek Falls. There are also two park lakes where swimming is allowed depending on the season.
The Table Rock State Park is also historic for being a former part of the Lower Cherokee Nation. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as well as a designated SC Heritage Trust Site.
