The Wallace House is a 1907 residential building located in Bay Street, Beaufort, South Carolina. It is included in the historic district of the beautiful Southern city.
However, what makes The Wallace House a notable structure is the fact that it was once the location of an older structure. The older buildings belonged to the Fullers, a famous and prominent family in the city of Beaufort from the colonial era. They were neighbors with other equally prominent families, like the Eliiots and Samses. The three families even agreed to build a sea wall and deed the lots in front of their homes to the city, so they can be sure that nothing will be built on the area.
The Wallace House stands as a reminder of how much the family has contributed to the locale, as well as their contributions to the history and beauty of the place.
