The Walnut Grove Plantation is a historic estate in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It was built in 1765 as the home of Charles and Mary Moore, after acquiring the land grant from King George III. The family operated a farm in the 3000 acre lot.

With its age and the fact that it already existed when the major wars of the past couple of centuries make it quite a participant in the said events. The Moore?s eldest daughter Margaret Catherine served as a scout for the Battle of Cowpens and could have even welcomed other prominent figures during its time.

Currently, the Walnut Grove Plantation is open to the public for tours. Aside from the house, there?s also a schoolhouse, a wheat house, and other structures on the site.
