The South Dakota Discovery Center & Aquarium is dedicated to providing children with hands-on applications, interactive exhibits, and many other kinds of activities to enable them to learn more about science while having fun.
It welcomes school groups and other group tours, offering a variety of in-house programs for a more organized tour of the museum?s facilities. At the South Dakota Discovery Center and Aquarium, the most popular in-house program would no doubt be the Star Lab, in which students or families would use the center?s portable museum to learn more about constellations. There?s also the 1-hour show of The Story of Lewis & Clark, in which viewers are taken to an adventurous expedition in the west in the company of local historian Lonis Wendt. Other excellent in-house programs offered at the center include the Leopold Education Project and the Watershed Investigation.
