The Cumberland Mountain State Park is a state park and recreation area in Crossville, Tennessee. It features 1720 acres of area.
Created in the 1930s, the Cumberland Mountain State Park was established initially as a part of the Cumberland Homesteads Project. This effort was initiated by the Resettlement Administration who relocated poverty-stricken families to small farms that is now known as the Cumberland Homestead community. The community, in turn, helped build the park with the aid of the Civilian Conservation Corps and the Works Progress Administration.
Situated on the Cumberland Plateau, the Cumberland Mountain State Park offers opportunities for hiking, fishing, camping, boating, picnicking, and swimming. The site is also equipped for other athletic activities like basketball, volleyball, softball, and tennis.
