The Indian Mountain State Park is a state park and recreation area in Jellico, Tennessee. It is located on the base of the Indian Mountain, offering scenic views of the area.
Established in 1971, the Indian Mountain State Park covers 213 acres of area. The site is situated on a reclaimed mine land, after being used as a coal mine from the early 1880s to the1960s. The park used to be a large surface mine, abandoned after the coal resources were exhausted.
Today, the Indian Mountain State Park offers a wide array of outdoor recreation including camping at its 49 fully equipped campsites, boating and fishing at its two lakes, and a good time at several of its athletic fields. The site also has miles of nature trails.
