The Roan Mountain State Park is a state park and recreation area in Roan Mountain, Tennessee. It features the Roan Mountain and about 2006 acres of the southern Appalachian forest that is located at the base of the mountain.
Established in the 1970s, the Roan Mountain State Park is home to magnificent landscapes, grassy balds, and hardwood forests. It is also best known as a camping site, with more than 100 family campsites. They also have thrirty AAA cabins equipped with a front porch, kitchen, and full bath.
As for recreation, visitors can enjoy fishing, hiking, and swimming at the park?s swimming pool which is open during the summer months. The park is also outfitted with playgrounds, and athletic fields.
