The Abilene Public Library is proud of offering excellent customer service to its every customer. It serves as a core source of information and other needed resources. They have about 300,000 volumes and varied library services that are made available to all public. These include internet access and allowing you to access the online catalogs and databases. They also hold host to very interesting reading programs for kids. This public library is basically made up of a Main Library, a Mockingbird Branch and a South Branch.

All these branch locations serve about a total of 42,000 cardholders along with a number of about 750,000 books being checked out on an annual basis. Their mission is to provide materials and programs that would help the residents expand their knowledge more and make sure that their craving for learning is always consistently on a high. Hence, they make sure that they always have the most in demand and most advanced kinds of materials that they also keep up with having the newest forms of media.
