A village believed to had been used by the ancient Anasazi people was discovered in the town of Boulder in Garfield County, Utah. Now, The Anasazi State Park Museum holds all these excavated artifacts and it aims to collect more specimens of the village ruins for public display.
Established in 1960, this six-acre state park at the foot of Boulder Mountain features a visitor center, museum, souvenir and museum store, picnic areas, and auditorium. The park was designed with the reconstructed ruins of the Anasazi village in mind. The village is also referred to as the Coombs Site, which is situated directly behind the museum. There?s a trail that visitors can take to help themselves discover and learn the various features of the village and the Anasazi people who lived here. The museum is open to the public all year-round.
