Cedar Canyon Campground is an aspen forest and a very popular campsite. It is located 8,000 feet in the pine forest of Cedar Canyon. The campground is developed with amenities like drinking water, restrooms, grills, picnic area, hiking trail, picnic tables and RV sites. Many visitors go to the campsite for scenic driving and mountain hiking. Firewood is sold by the bundle in site.

There is also a non-fishable stream in the campsite. Fishing is available in the nearby county fishing pond. Fishing for rainbow trout in the pond is very popular among children campers. It is also possible to go rock climbing in some parts of the site. The Cedar Canyon Campground is also popular for wildlife enthusiasts especially that wildlife viewing is also available in the area. Hiking and mountain trails are available in the site that is connected to a network of trails. In fact, the campground is very convenient to the River Trail and Cedar Breaks National Monument which is a mile long. The trail to Ashdown Gorge Wilderness is also quite close as well.
