If you think that the geography of Utah is all sand, salt and rocks, then you?ve never truly seen Utah. Deep within its desert region in the south, near the bordering state of Arizona, is a scenic paradise that is a popular tourist destination and recreation area.
The Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is a National Park Service-protected conservation that covers an area as big as 1,254,429 acres. Established in 1972, it aims to ?provide for public use and enjoyment? as well as ?to preserve the area?s scientific, historic, and scenic features?.
Guests can partake in various recreational activities such as fishing, jet skiing and yacht riding in Lake Powell, and golfing at the nearby Lake Powell National Golf Course.
