The Ogden Botanical Garden first opened its doors to the public in 1994. Considered as one of the city?s finest attractions, the 11-acre garden boasts of an expansive collection of trees as well as hundreds of annuals and perennial species. Three of those acres are devoted to growing shrubs, trees, and flower beds alone while there?s also an arboretum that nurtures rare local plant species of the state. Some parts of the garden are also naturally landscaped, with scenic hillside areas and rivers. Must-see attractions at the garden include the Kiwanis Club?s water-wise garden, the Japanese pagoda, the giant sequoia, and the blue atlas cedar. At present, the garden is jointly managed by the Weber County government, the Weber University, and its own non-profit organization.
