Within the area of the Lagoon Amusement Park in Utah, is the Wild Kingdom Train Zoo. Visitors to the Lagoon Park will enjoy the unique zoo which is visible when riding the train. The zoo is located on the banks of a pond giving it a more authentic thrill. The zoo is advertised by the Lagoon Amusement Park as the second largest zoo in Utah. It was first called the Animaland Train upon its opening in 1967 before it was changed to the Wild Kingdom Train in 1975.

The zoo offers various animals in exhibit including Siberian tigers, zebras, deers, kangaroos, and many more within the park. The train that goes around the park has three steam powered engines known as Houston and Merriweather. Tours inside the park usually takes about 8 to 12 minutes depending on the attendance and number of trains on operation.

The Wild Kingdom Zoo is famous for its big cats like tigers and lynxes, which are more likely to be nocturnal, which means they are more active in the evening. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the ride during dusk, during which they can enjoy the cat?s most active moments.
