The Ayres Natural Bridge Park is a county park located in Douglas, Wyoming. It is the location of the popular geographical feature known as the Ayers Natural Bridge. The park was also formerly part of the Wyoming State Parks System.
The Ayres Natural Bridge is located south of the famous Oregon Trail and is considered one of Wyoming?s first tourist attractions. It is a natural rock arch created through millions of years of water action by the LaPrele Creek. The opening that forms the natural bridge is over 30 feet high and 50 feet wide. An early American pioneer travelling the Oregon Trail have been recorded as saying ?a natural bridge of solid rock, over a rapid torrent, the arch being regular as though shaped by art.?
