Centered on the world?s largest single mineral hot spring, the Hot Springs State Park is a popular state park in Thermopolis, Wyoming.
The main water spring known as Big Spring produces millions of gallons of hot mineral water every day. The temperature of the water flowing out of the springs is measured at about 135 degrees Fahrenheit. These waters collect in hot pools and some of which are piped into bathhouses for use of the general public.
The park features two swimming areas and a State bath house with indoor and outdoor bathing facilities. The park is also open all year for visitors to enjoy the hot mineral springs even in the winter. Non spring related activities include wildlife viewing and hiking.
