You can enjoy the romantic view of the famed Old Faithful Geyser from the balcony of the equally famous log hotel, the Old Faithful Inn. Located at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, this historic building is a prime example of the ?rustic? architecture, a distinct architectural style in the United States commonly found in many National Park buildings.
Designed by architect Robert Reamer, the inn was completed in 1903. This massive stone-and-log building was constructed from local lodgepole pine timber and rhyolite stone. The structure is regarded as the largest log building in the world.
The inn?s popularity has attracted several visitors, including famous personalities and celebrities such as Theodore Roosevelt, Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge and Franklin Roosevelt. The inn was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987, making it part of the Old Faithful Historic District.
