Horses, cowboys and rodeos. It?s time to celebrate real Western state fair the Wyoming Way!

Held every August in the city of Douglas in the county of Converse in Wyoming, this expo is a celebration of the state?s agricultural and cultural achievements and tradition. The fairgrounds are located on West Yellowstone Highway, overlooking the beautiful North Platte River. The fair was first held in 1886 in Cheyenne and dubbed as ?First Annual Wyoming Territorial Fair?. After a few migrations, the fair finally settled in the city of Douglas in 1905.

The fair?s attractions include typical fair events and activities such as agricultural exhibits, rodeos, horse races, carnival rides, and food shows. Perhaps one of the irresistible features of the fair is that fairgoers can camp in about 455 camping sites around the fairgrounds. Visitors can enjoy nature and state celebration at the same time.
