No, skip the train and see the majestic bays, mountains & glaciers. I think the Empress travels the inner passage past BC and up into Alaska. That's a very lovely view the entire trip.
The train looks interesting but rail must be limited to the few places tracks can reach in a state that prefers to fly.

Traveling Alaska by train is a blast. Its a great way to see alaska in comfort, and safety. We have taken trips via train up here and they are some of the more memorable times we've had up here.

I would like to hear more about rail tours in Alaska.

I love traveling by rail if the operator knows what they're doing and makes it comfortable and fun.
