Yesterday was a beautiful day for a ride but I didn't bring the camera with me. Here are a few pictures from the Shenandoah 500 ride 2 weeks ago. Was such a good time.
My little DR in front of the lineup of big boys bikes ... I like it!
AND .. it's all part of learning when you get over confident, throw yourself out of a stream crossing too fast, catch air, don't land on the trail and land in a ditch into a downed tree instead... fortunately we were able to bend this clutch lever back so I could ride the rest of the day
Ma'am; wow; what beautiful country you have to ride in
A side note; KTM
John Penton first to import them to America; called them "Penton". Many of us that had them; wow to new; innovations at the time. Six day riders; rode to many Gold Medals; with the Penton/KTM.
{all motorbikes; have come a long; long way; from those days} 'cept the fun will never change

Ah yes ... KTM... my boyfriend has wanted one for years and finally got one this year. It's an amazing bike. I am staying with my cheap little Suzuki DR200 until I have more riding under my belt and learn more.
Our dream is to get adventure bikes and go to Alaska together one day. That won't be for a few years though.
Nice! I can't wait to be back on mainland... we don't have those types of woods out here!
Ah yes... I am spoiled with the woods all around me. I do love it but hopefully I'll visit Hawaii someday! Guess that won't be a trip to bring my motobike.

You can rent them, I have look into it. There are a ton of places.
you should really look into bmw's gs series. they have been making them for years and they are as perfected as anyother motorcycle... i have ridden one a few times. powerful smooth and tough...
+1 I have ridden my gf's g650gs many times and it seems to be just perfect, so powerful and solid, havnt done much besides gravel tho.
