In those years here was possible to hear them only via west radiobroadcasts – there was in Thessalonica (Greece) especially for BG – “The voice of America”, Radio Laxemberg from GB, “Free Europe” … what a noise and modulation it was, because our governing lumberjacks destroyed it permanently …
To improve my pronunciation long years I loved to imitate some of them … but I do not know why, I have leaved it since 2-3 years …
You are a true Renaissance man!
Those pictures in the sunflower fields are amazing! Are they growing them for seed production?
I haven't been drinking much beer, or rakia for that matter, as of late. I've been spending all of my time plowing snow. It wouldn't be much for you guys up north, but we're already almost to 44" and we're only in January. It was supposed to be a PT job for beer money.

Hi Bill … long time you have not visited our pub … obviously too much snow to plough in Connecticut … is 44” the North altitude of your home place? I am at 42,5” and 2100 feet altitude … but the cold this winter is going north from us …
Here in BG we do have many sunflower fields (for BG scale). We use sunflower oil for cooking. I am afraid that last years they has begun trying to produce car fuel from it … I see more and more fields with coleseed again for fuel … soon there will be no enough fuel for us …

I totally agree. SwampYankee means 44" of snow on the ground.
I'm at latitude 45.3? latitude, but only 190 feet above sea level.
Weather today was cold.

Alex ? very cool in Montreal ? it is because Canada is open to the north it seems ? but 190 feet above the see level is just fine ? soon the global heating will come, and the see level will grow up to 180 feet ? so, maybe just in front of your home you will have a perfect beach ?
Obviously in the Bill?s area there is too much snow ? he will need full time job (PT job I understand as a part time job) to deal with the snow ?
