I am moving to Corvallis in the July time frame for school. So, tell me about the city. What is there to do, places to eat, places to avoid, where to live? I am going to miss Coos Bay, but I am excited to move on.
There is some great cycling in the area if you get on the trails beware of the poison oak, there's lots. I like the atmosphere of Corvallis, at least when I lived there is was layed back and friendly.
So a friend of mine and I were visiting a few years back and were just driving around one evening when he made a wrong turn and we ended up going the wrong way down a one way street. Well it just so happened there was a cop nearby who saw us and proceeded to pull us over. Well he decided to give my friend a field sobriety test which he proceeded to fail miserably despite the fact that he was COMPLETLY sober.
Bombs Away Cafe has a great beer selection and $2 pints on Tuesdays! Block 15 is a must, but their regular beers aren't that great. The seasonals and specialty beers are fantastic though.
