The amaryllis in Mom's kitchen grows about 1 1/2 inches each day. Yesterday its height was 20 inches. I think it looks like a giant mutant alien plant stalk. I have told my cat not to get to close to the plant because she might get eaten.
As of Jan. 17, 2022, the amaryllis is 23 inches tall. There are two red blooms in front, plus a third bud behind them.
I still have my cat, so the alien mutant plant stalk didn't eat her.
