but seriously we have Narragansett bay. loads of lighthouses a rich maritime culture and old world colonial charm. Not to mention the many local cuisine choices from clamcakes to grinders. and you have to try an awful awful they are the best. and we are one of the original 13 colonies.
There's massive history. There's the greatest seafood on the planet. Federal Hill, home of the best Italian food...PERIOD!! There are......CLAM CAKES!!!
I'd say there is also Rocky Point Amusement Park, but, I can't cuz "developers" need the land to make money. Oh well, so much for tradition.
We are the smallest state with biggest name, The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, (for now). Also, there is more variety in beaches than you would ever need
IMO the beaches in Rhode Island are far better than the left coast beaches with the possible exceptions of Carmel...and Blacks Beach in San Diego. Carmel has stretches of really fine sand and a great view scape, Black's has its own view scape! Besides the beaches, RI has fishing ports that are really fishing ports just as Monterray used to be. Additionally,
Rhode Islanders have an accent all their own.
