Any Homebrewers in the Sac area?

So I reckon you came over from HBT then. Me and a couple buddies recently started brewing in Davis. There is Homebrewer association out here named after the greenbelt.

I'm here from the HBT promotion too. I wish you luck Sacdan. Opening a brewery would be one of the coolest things in the world but the thought of all the work and stress scares me away.

I'm newer to the homebrew scene here in Sacramento, but I've met a couple members of a group called the Hop Heads of Sacramento. They have a site at Hop Heads of Sacramento Beer Lovers Union. I haven't had a chance to go to any of their functions, but the people I met were really cool.

I heard from my friend Tim at BFD that some of the Greenbelt Brewers were there last weekend. I couldn't make it.

There's also:

• Gold Country Brewers Association who meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Sacramento Unitarian Church
• Elk Grove Brewer's Guild, who I know have met up at Pangaea Two Brews Cafe on Franklin.

Quick plug for Tim and Brew Ferment Distill--best brewing supply shop in Sacramento (as well as winemaking, cheesemaking, distilling, etc.) In the summer he's got fresh hops from Kingbird Farms in Galt. Friendly & convenient.
