For good trick or treating I'd say visit Plum Creek in Kyle.

The Outlet malls have trick or treating and activities on Halloween night. On the Saturday before, Farmer Fred's for children is going on in SM Plaza Park. Also, Wake the Dead Coffee House has mixed children and adult activities all day on Saturday.
