Would you get back on here and let me know how Dead or Alive was? I think that'll be my next one after my current one (Decision Points, George W Bush.)
I'm in the mood for another Tom Clancy book! I think I've read Rainbow Six at least three times!
I will do that..probably take me another week or two..
All of the Jack Ryan Books are pretty good. John Clark is my favorite character in them..Rainbow 6 and Without Remorse are my favorites.
I finally finished the Clancy book yesterday. all in all not too bad..WAY better than his last "novel"...
lot's of story lines and characters to keep track of, so it was a little hard to remember who is who at times. also there wasn't enough "action" for my taste. lots of planning the action...plus the way it ended it sets up another novel in the future. out of 10 i would give this a 7 or 7.5.. i would recommend reading this one.
I am about 90% finished with " SOG the Secret Wars of America's Commandos in Vietnam" by John L. Plaster. This is a very interesting book to read. SOG was a secret organization made up of mostly Army Green Beret's. This book tells about the heroic soldiers, missions and politics of the war in Vietnam. Reading this book makes me wonder where America got these tremendous soldiers from, and it also makes me cringe when reading about how many of them were captured and never heard from again.
I am in the camp of people who believe there were POW's alive at the end of the war that were never returned, and it makes me sad that our government knew this and didn't do anything about it.
Nice. I like history.
But right now I'm reading a collection of limeriks from the 19th and early 20th century.
Very filthy material, but mostly hilarious.
