They bought some exotic financial products from Goldman Sachs(?) at WAAAYYYY over price. Basically somebody either did NO research, or was getting a kickback. I*heard* rumors that one of the county comissioners was looking to change their last name and move out of state.

Basically a county with a population of ~665K doesn't need to finance 4+ BILLION in sewer debt when most of the county is on septic anyway.

The gross mismanagement of Jefferson County never seems to end. It's amazing that many of these politicians keep getting re-elected.
