Since moving to Charlotte some five years ago I have come to love BBQ.
I am working on my own recipes and techniques. I do have to say that I stumbled across the Orion Smoker. This thing is great for a beginner, it takes out the guess work of cooking and allows you to work on your recipe because the cooking is so consistent.

What tips do you have?

is the orion really a smoker? it looks more like a convection cooker with the option of adding smoke. i use a simple but effective brinkman bullet smoker ($40 everywhere) and always get good results. i almost exclusively smoke boston butts and turkey breasts.
