How are snow conditions at the local ski resort?

Snowbowl in Flagstaff is often derided, but as an avid skier all over North America, Snowbowl is a little gem. The snow is fantastic about 1 out of 3 years (ya I know), but when it's good it's great. They have one of the longest (2000' vertical) chairs in the states. Most chairs in CO, UT, etc are around 1000' of vertical. Go on weekdays and avoid Holidays. Arizona Snowbowl - Flagstaff's ski area is a great place to escape the summer heat

Friends love Arizona's Sunrise resort too.

I once spent a day at the Snowbowl and had a blast skiing the upper bowl

Don't really get that kind of skiing out east.
