So many of these pictures, though well before my time, really strike a chord with me, because I remember lots of these places. Merwins is still here, but in another location!
You had more people in the Panhandle in 1920 than I thought might exist there today. I wouldn't call it crowded but when Sandpoint got a bypass it joined the congested traffic list.
It's no wonder you're up to date on happenings in Spokane.

Spokane is fairly close by and is a great Washington city! I've sure seen this place grow in my lifetime. In a way, it's sad, but it's happening everywhere I suppose. Hope you keep those Sandpoint photos coming Blucher. It really is great to see my home towns in black and white!
