My hometown will always be Vegas. That said, I hate going to the strip.
Any food suggestions?
I have 2, both are more Henderson than Vegas though:
- The Greek Bistro. It's kind of in the Sunset Station parking lot. Sometimes the smell isn't great in the place, but the Gyros are the best I have ever had.
- The Lotus on Water St. Awesome Mongolian Beef and friendly staff.
Four Kegs in North Las Vegas (Jones & 95) has awesome food too. The last time I went there and had a Stromboli and needed two people to finish it!
Giovannis at Eastern and Warm Springs is also a family run italian place that has awesome pizza, calzones, and general italian food. One of my favorite places on that end of town.
Best burger ever? Hit up "the Dispensary Lounge" on Trop and eastern.
Little tiny bar, been there since 76, run by the same people. 3.95 for the most amazing 1/2lb steak burger. I love it.
Also, want good wings? Hit up 4 Kegs, rainbow and 95 area if memory serves, been on that Dinvers Drive ins and dives show. Yum. Serve the beer in schooners too.
For Thai food try Archi's Thai food. They have 3 locations. I have eaten at the one on Flamingo and Jones and the one on Rainbow and 215. Both are great. I have yet to find a better Thai place IMHO. Awesome try at least once.
B.J.'s Pizza out on west Charleston, accross from Red Rock casino. My wife and I go there for the bruschetta, chicken lettuce wraps and avocado eggrolls. Oh yeah, the pizza's goo too!
Hot & Juicy Crawfish in China Town!
