Little off season, but are there any good fishing spots for shore fishing around Kalamazoo?

Plenty of spots but it depends on what you're looking for. I haven't been out in a couple weeks but I used to do a lot of Salmon fishing but from the shore and boats. The salmon can't pass the Allegan dam but Kalamazoo river is pretty good anywhere downstream from that.

I never care for the crowds so I would always start at the dam and walk down stream until I located a decent spot. The river bends once and then it bends again. This second bend is a nice spot for some shore fishing.

Allegan dam down you can get into some steelhead from now till May. Spawn bags and wax worms are always good go to baits.
