Working the Fields. - North Dakota

Any one here work the oil fields? I need a job, and honestly would rather work in something else, but the pay is great and I do need a job. I've been told by a friend that with an attitude like that I won't last a day, but really that seems to be the only industry hiring right now, so I don't really have much of a choice.

Have you checked out the Minot area? what kind of skillset do you have?

Most of the jobs are in the oil field but all of the popualation centers have some available

i travel to williston from my home base of Rock Springs, Wy to work sometimes. we are always sending people up there to work. I am a wireline engineer. normally working in utah and wyoming.

I do see people from all over the place here for the fields, specifically Montana...

The job market is not to bad here for a lot of the things you might want to do. Besides the Oil fields, there is a lot of new construction going on so they may also be looking for general labor people. Not sure what they are paying but I know there is a bit of it here.
