Dry Heating Pad?

What has happened to heating pads? I needed one last year when I fractured a vertebrate and all I could find at CVS were Chinese plastic ones with a cloth cover. The plastic just doesn't conform well to the human anatomy. Our previous heating pad of yesteryear was like a miniature electric blanket, soft and cozy, but I cannot find such a thing today.
