I guess it's good that the city found some corporate help for rebuilding that dangerous dam (maybe they'll fix the problem at Joe's while they're at it), but this just reeks of artifice. Functionality and cash flow doesn't always mean improvement, even if we DO get another Chili's....

I'd rather have rafters and kayakers anyway. At least they are less inclined to throw their garbage in the river.

The rapids could be a nice addition to San Marcos. Until a drunk kid drowns and his parents sue because there weren't any signs telling everyone that rapids are dangerous.
