Recycling Centers (For things the city doesn't pick up)

I'm cleaning out my garage and while I'm not a weeny greeny I do like to recycle or properly dispose of items. I have found a place that takes Styrofoam for free and I thought I would start a thread for people to list places to take items that they want to git rid of that isn't suppose to go in the trash.

I'm looking for a place to take Christmas lights now. Any suggestions?

Computers
Used motor oil
Appliances
Clothes and such

I know I usually donate good used appliances.

Haven't checked the last couple of months but 1 Green Planet took those christmas lights, anything metal, appliances, computer, anything electronic. They would fix things that could work and re-sell for cheap, the rest would be stripped to the tiny bits for all recycle.
