3 "MUST HAVES" while traveling?

GPS is probably a must-have if I've never been where I'm going and I'm driving. Otherwise, I wouldn't miss it.

Tunes are a must-have, but I assume any vehicle I'm driving has them.

So...

But-out bag;
Maps of the area between where I was and where I'm going;
Contact info and a means to contact folks.

If we're talking airline/train/bus travel that will take me a good distance away...

MP3 player or a deck of cards;
But-out bag (or a subset);
Cash.
