Here's a couple photos from Utah.........if this is the kind of scenery that "thrills" you, then by all means visit there. The first photo is from the overlook of "Mokee Dugway" on highway UT-261 (this link explains it better than I and gives more photos of what this roadway is down the mesa) and the second another scene along the highway.......the third photo is of the Kennecott's Bingham Canyon Mine, just south of Salt Lake City....another breathtaking undertaking
There are lakes and rivers within minutes of any town in Utah. You are minutes away from high deserts to pine trees. Our beer is low alc. content except at the micro breweries. We are a gun friendly state. We ARE NOT as liberal as some might suggest. Spectacular scenery, Vast and varied jeep trails as others have mentioned.
I love this state I was born raised and will stay.
Here's one of my photos I like......decending "Cedar Mesa" at "Mokee Dugway" (highway US-261)..a view into
"The Valley of The Gods"..a decent of 1,100' in about three miles......a highway cut into the mesa and comprises
numerous "switchbacks"....you can see one of them at lower right......this is North of "Mexican Hat"..:
there is a lifetime of things to do and see in Utah. dinosaurs to polygamists...you can see it all...and the polygamists are alive and well...unlike the dinosaurs. Seriously, the scenery and back country are incredible, skiing is amazing, people are friendly; it's one of the most diverse and beautiful places on earth...
