Have any favorite local microbrews?

I enjoy Miner's Daughter Oatmeal Stout from Mountain State Brewing Company, Parsons Porter from Blackwater Brewing Company, and Mountaineer Nut Brown from Mountaineer Brewing Company.

Yep, that's where Mountaineer Brewing Company is.

Ok, I've been here for going on 13 years and I did not know that. When I saw their stuff locally I just assumed it was from the brew pub that was in Morgantown when I was at WVU.

What we affectionately know as the brew pub was then the West Virginia Brewing Company, and after going through some rough patches and a few different owners, is now the Morgantown Brewing Company. I'm ashamed to say I haven't been there since the most recent ownership/name change.

Farthest south I'm aware of is Bridge Brew Works in Fayetteville. I've never been there, though.

The only other brewery that hasn't already been mentioned that I know of is the North End Tavern & Brewery in Parkersburg. Although I grew up in Parkersburg, I've never visited the NET, nor have I had any of their brews.

Does anyone know if brew pub in Morgantown will still sell growlers under the new owners?

A friend of mine says they do still sell growlers.

The Brew Pub in Morgantown - they do still sell growlers, you can bring them back for a cheaper refill. I'm just not a huge fan of some of their brews anymore. Back when it was the One Onion, that was some great stuff.
