I have camped at Blue's Canoe Livery before and as you can tell by the name you can do a two day canoe trip there. Great place.

Hardin's Ridge at Lake Monroe is very nice. It is run by the National Forest Service.

Lincoln State Park and Patoka Lake Campgrounds are great. Lincoln is good to just get away but if you're into boating as well, you can't beat Patoka

Camped for the first time at Harmony State park recently, and loved it. It's in Posey county.
Lots of great hiking trails, and a couple of mountain bike trails.
Then there's the local flavor, New Harmony has one of the worlds few active Labyrinth's. (A real hedge maze!)

Harrison-Crawford State Park.
Down by the river, west of Corydon.
We camped there about 10 years ago. Nice facilities, great hiking trails, and horse camping.

I agree with Turkey run. It was always my favorite as a kid. They have a great suspension bridge and lots of trails, some cut through old sandstone riverbeds which are great in the summer because air is cool coming off the rocks.

There's a few places I have gone. Any one of the forestries has camping. There is Deam's Lake or Buffalo Trace.

Horse camped at Harrison Crawford, great spot. Tents at Fishermans camp at Patoka is always good. Then again I live on 30 acres bordering Patoka so my back yark works well too.
