Well, here's the deal. Camping is also camping in German. Same word. Unless you're camping by tent, in which case it becomes Zelten. A VW bus is usually called a VW Camper in German. So you would basically say "camping mit einem VW Camper."

Give me the whole sentence you're trying to say and I'll fix you up so that you use it in the right context.

Well the truth is, I'm looking for a word to use on my license plate. I was thinking of Zelten. It fits and it's kind of a cool word. I know most people wouldn't know what it means so I may still go with it even though it wouldn't be proper I guess.

Hey, if that's the case and your bus has a nice canopy, you're good to go.
Or get yourself a gazebo or something to set up outside the bus.
I like Zelten in that context! I'd say go with it.
BTW I really like old VW bugs and buses.

Oh man, that is a classic! It is nice that a piece of (German) Americana is still around!

I think you need to change your user name to Zelten!
Schnell!!

That just has to be one of the sweetest ways to go camping.

I'll change my user name as soon as I win the trailer on JF. I'd hate to loose out because I changed it now.
