Any parks, land, or other legal places to go off road in Austin?

There are no legal public trails in Texas anymore, it's all ranch land, pay to play

There's a little trail that runs up a hill to a scenic overlook on 1431 before you get to Marble Falls (going West from Austin). I can't remember the name, but it's maybe 5-8 miles before you get to Hidden Falls. It's pretty steep and pavilion/pagoda thing at the top. It's on the north side of 1431. If you're itching to put 'em in 4WD, you can do it here.

While not necessarily "trail", there's always a trip to South Parde Island.
Katemcey reopened in a new location, but I believe it's still near Mason.
San Angelo has free public land but it's about 3hrs roughly. Twin Buttes is pretty nice and challenging.
