Argentine Wicci indian carvings I only somewhat successfully made into a shadowbox.
Years ago I did a bookcase from large pieces of rough cedar with one raw long edge. I let the cedar show me what the wood could be and finished that edge smooth but irregular in shape.
While working on it I chanced on old styled chrome faucet fixtures in some thrift store. These were mounted on side panel shelves and looked great. It was an excuse to give a utilitarian object (bookcase) a touch of the artist.
More recently I needed a strong unit to house parts of my stereo. It weighs a ton but it will never fall apart. As the labels & photo demonstrate I'm bare bones utilitarian with my own needs. A man needs a stereo cabinet if only to hide his weapons.
