Those rifles look remarkably like the old .303 Lee Enfield I did my induction training on before transitioning to the 7.62 FN. That would make those guys our northern rangers???
I believe they just got issued new stuff like .308 Remingtons or some such.
Can't beat a bolt action for extreme northern and frigid duty.

Yah, the Canadian Rangers are definitely a force to be reckoned with in the far north. I have nothing but respect for them.

They are happy doing what they do under conditions in which 99% of the population can't function properly. They should be recognized for their contributions.
