Today was the first time I ever had the chance to pray and climb the steps of Holy Cross-Immaculata Church in Mt. Adams. I've always worked on Good Friday and so could never do it.
When we got to the top of the hill on St. Gregory Street, I shot this photo of the line of people waiting to get to the steps. It took almost 2 hours to get from the bottom of the hill to where the church's steps actually began.
We finished the climb at the same time the fish fry started. This church's fried fish sandwiches are delicious!
I ache this evening from climbing the hill and the steps, and even though I put on sunscreen, I am sunburned!
