NYC Country Music Stations?

Bring a CD. There's no country music stations in NYC. If you're lucky, they'll play a Johnny cash song on 104.3, that's about as close as you'll get.

Well I don't know how far 107.7 goes to NYC, but I heard there is a new country station around here. If I find it I will let you know.

Sadly, the others are right -- bring your iPod. WYNY used to be a pretty good country station given the demographic here, but they're long gone. Truth is, NYC radio largely stinks whatever the format. You might catch an occasional county program on Columbia's student radio (89.9) but unless you've got an awesome antenna in your car you won't hear it for long.

having moved here from Texas (Austin...to be exact) - the lack of country stations here in NYC (i live in Manhattan) is a sad affair. it WOULD be nice to have even 1.
